Bio
I am in my Senior year attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Design and Visual Communication with a minor in Art History. My past work experience includes Marketing and Social Media Networking. My strong skills consist of mobile app and web design, UI UX, and branding. Personality wise, I am very driven and always committed to any project I am working on. I keep myself involved within the school’s art program; I work for the Art & Design Department monitoring a gallery space, working in the Output lab, and working in their office. The past two years I have been awarded the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Dorothy G and Ruth M Smith Scholarship showcasing my abilities in design and fine arts.
I want to create a safer, more knowledgeable world to live in for my community and hopefully on a larger, global scale. I am working on producing creative ideas that are practical and can be used to help Milwaukee’s community and all other areas around the world because I deeply care about the safety and the social welfare of all those around me as well the earth.

Description
On the Surface is a mobile application paired with an attachable device that accurately records temperatures in order to reduce the effects of Urban Heat Islands. Urban Heat Islands are developed areas of surface such as pavement that contribute to higher temperatures than nearby rural areas. This platform will serve as a call to action by having citizens get involved in pin pointing areas that can be restored into green spaces that aids in cooling communities.
Mission
We believe in sustainable environments where residents feel connected to the Earth and are able to care for its’ future. We are driven to combat Urban Heat Islands in order to create safe and prosperous places.
Vision
To be fully aware of the Urban Heat Island Effect and involve residents in making cooler and comfortable cities. Our vision is to remove the Urban Heat Island Effect to produce sustainable cities.
