Bio

Meg Clementz is in her last year at the University of Milwaukee Wisconsin, pursuing her BFA in Visual Design and Communications. Along side of her classwork, she plays as an art director at the growing multimedia and software company Axolotl Interactive Inc. She is currently involved in the student organization AIGA-UWM as it’s fundraising chair.

Meg Clementz’s skill sets lie in visual design, combining typography and illustration into unique brand identity, UX for websites and applications, character design and more. She works closely with the Adobe Suite, (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Adobe After Effects. After Meg leaves her clients satisfied, she enjoys spending her spare hours kicking her friend’s and family’s butts at any Nintendo console, rummaging through antiques and watching Pixar and Quentin Tarantino films. After obtaining a degree, Meg hopes to use her character designs passionately by starting her own line of children’s books in aiding and developing children’s morals. Meg believes that doing what you love and being healthy will result in one’s best work and true happiness. Everyone has a purpose in life and it’s important to find yours.

Doodle Hue

Description

Doodle Hue is a free application for parents, therapists, school counselors and peers that allows them to combine the therapeutic tools of speech and art into an interaction between adult and child. The application includes three main functions; “Free Paint,” “WeGuide,” and “Activities.” Strong engagement between adult and child comes from the featured “WeGuide,” where the adult completes a short form and passes the tablet over to the child. The child is then asked to express emotion through the tablet; whether that be snapping a picture, voicing a funny phrase or drawing right on the tablet. The series of questions and art created by the child is generated into a custom children’s ebook using the child’s art in combination with characters matching a problem or conflict the child is facing. The ebook is then stored on the tablet, but also available in the form of a PDF, which can be printed and used by the parent, peer or anyone else trying to help the child cope or just generate a smile.

Mission

Providing a free and fun therapeutic art tool for child and adult interaction and connection.

Vision

Working alongside technology to better the next generation.
