Bio

Brett Baeten is currently in his fourth and final year as a Design & Visual Communication major at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he will be obtaining my BFA in May 2017. Outside of school he is a design intern for Swarmm Events & Marketing in the greater Milwaukee Area. He has always had an interest in art, however in high school he realized that he can make a career out of design and decided to pursue it in his future. Throughout his experience in design Brett feels that he excels in both independent work as well as being a part of a team. He finds himself to be a very critical thinker that is both very focused and detail-oriented in all areas of his design process.

All areas of art and design fascinate him, however typography stands at the top of the list. Brett feels that he is very proficient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Outside of design I have gathered skills in photography, illustration,
and coding.
Outside of design, Brett has a strong appreciation for being outdoors. He enjoys running, biking, surfing, traveling and reading. He believes that all of these hobbies help shape who he is both as a person and a designer.

Design Team

Michael Sampson
Michael Sampson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2006 with a degree in Political Science. After working for a talent agency in Los Angeles for a few years, Michael moved back to Milwaukee where he created Swarmm Events which soon created the Shamrock Shuffle and Das Oktoberfest Pub crawls in 2010 and continues to grow each year.

Kelsey Lawson
Kelsey Lawson graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2014 with a degree in Art and Advertising. She is a highly driven, creative individual who enjoys bringing a fresh outlook to design, photography, and her marketing background.

Alleyne Alderton
Alleyne works as a Human Resource Consultant at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a married mother of two that tries to have strictly all organic food for her family. Her children are aged 8 and 9 and named Vincent and Gwen.

Vincent Alderton
Vincent is a 4th grader at Stormonth Elementary School. He enjoys playing soccer and baseball. When he is not playing sports he can be found at home playing video games or messing around with his nerf guns.
