Bio

Creating, collaborating, and communicating. Abbey Hoerchner is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, pursuing her BFA in Design and Visual Communication and a minor in General Business. She combines her passion for design and typography with innovative thinking and a curiosity to learn. As a motivated and thoughtful designer, she looks to build positive relationships and create memorable experiences.

She enjoys typography, branding, illustration, photography, and poster design. Very familiar with the design process, she understands the constant cycle of research, brainstorming, creating, refining, and presenting. Finding ways to incorporate work and play, her active lifestyle, love for the outdoors, and passion for sport echoes through dynamic and lively design solutions.

When she is not designing, she enjoys playing collegiate soccer, hiking, traveling internationally, and taking photographs. Even though she is a Wisconsin girl born – and – raised, she is excited and open to discovering where in the world design can take her.

Design Team

Kirsten Engen
A recent graduate of the DVC program, Kirsten will be helpful, as she has most recently participated in the 2015 Design Entrepreneur Showcase. She is also a member of my target audience and is a practicing designer.

Griffin Kerwin
Griffin is a second year film major at UWM. With experience in both filming and editing footage, he will be an asset in creating a video for my application.

Marisa Riemer
Marisa is an individual who resides in my target market, as she is a millennial. As an avid technology user, she serves as a resource to participate in usability trials of my prototype and offer recommendations throughout the process.
