Guiding Success, Supporting Resilience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of Students Office supports students’ academic success and personal well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of Students Office (DOSO) is the place to go when the unexpected happens. Staffed by deans, coordinators, and case managers, DOSO assists students facing personal crises, emergencies, and unexpected financial challenges, offering guidance and connecting them with essential resources. DOSO also administers the campus misconduct processes for academic and non-academic cases, ensuring fairness and helping students grow from these experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of Students Office also serves as a central point for students to voice complaints or concerns, and to seek guidance with navigating procedures and understanding options. This holistic support aims to enhance students’ resilience and enrich their overall university experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Association\u00a0Professional Staff\u00a0joined\u00a0the Dean of Students Office\u00a0on\u00a0August 1, 2026.\u00a0Together, Student Association Professional Staff (SAPS),\u00a0the\u00a0UWM\u00a0Student\u00a0Government,\u00a0and the Dean of Students Office (DOSO) form a connected support system that empowers students\u00a0and helps them thrive throughout their university experience. The\u00a0UWM\u00a0Student Government serves as the elected voice of the student body, advocating for student needs, shaping campus initiatives, and\u00a0representing\u00a0student interests in university decision-making. SAPS\u00a0provides\u00a0guidance, training, and operational support that equips student leaders to effectively fulfill their mission, ensuring they have\u00a0the\u00a0resources and\u00a0advising needed\u00a0to lead\u00a0with confidence. Complementing these efforts, the DOSO supports students on an individual level by providing\u00a0support\u00a0during personal challenges, addressing concerns, connecting students with critical resources, and promoting\u00a0responsibility\u00a0through campus conduct processes.\u00a0DOSO also\u00a0keeps\u00a0students at the forefront and advocates for students\u2019 interests\u00a0when working with\u00a0colleagues\u00a0throughout campus.\u00a0Together, these\u00a0three\u00a0areas create a collaborative network\u00a0of\u00a0student advocacy, leadership development, and holistic student support to foster an inclusive, responsive, and successful campus community.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
