Study abroad canceled through spring 2021

Given ongoing public health advisories and international travel restrictions, UWM has canceled student participation in study abroad programs programs through the Spring 2021 semester, including faculty-led and exchange programs. Individual students may apply for an exemption through UWM’s International Travel Policy by filling out a Travel Risk Assessment form. Please consult the U.S. Department of State for country-specific entry restrictions for people traveling from the United States and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for country-specific health advisories.

No post-Thanksgiving schedule change planned

Some have asked if there are plans to move face-to-face classes online after Thanksgiving. At the present time, the plan is to continue instruction in the current mode through the end of the fall semester. Classes taught face-to-face currently will continue in that mode until the end of the semester. UWM leadership monitors the larger COVID-19 situation daily, including positivity rates on campus, and would notify the campus community immediately if this decision were to change.

No extra fees for in-person classes that switch to online

Any course that must change delivery mode after the add/drop date due to a pandemic-related circumstance will not be charged additional instructional technology fees. For questions or concerns on tuition and fee charges, please contact the Bursar’s Office at 414-229-4914 or at
