What University Housing facilities are being used for isolation and quarantine?

October 22, 2020

At any given time, we could have students in quarantine or isolation in any one of our University Housing communities.

Residence halls have suite-style living arrangements with one bathoom per suite, while Kenilworth Square Apartments is a multi-unit complex with one bathroom per apartment. As a result, some students are able to isolate or quarantine in their assigned spaces, depending on whether their roommates and/or others living in their suite or apartment have been exposed. If needed, students also can move to designated isolation/quarantine spaces on campus.

We encourage all UWM students, whether they are living on or off campus, to be mindful of their role in helping minimize the spread of COVID-19 and follow the Panthers Protect Panthers guidelines. This includes wearing face coverings, washing hands frequently, regularly disinfecting assigned common spaces (kitchen, bathroom, door handles, etc.), and maintaining proper social distancing.
