Do we need to remain socially distanced on campus?

June 15, 2021

UWM updated its interim COVID-19 health and safety rules in June 2021 to continue to help limit the potential spread of COVID-19.

As part of the updated rules, social distancing is no longer required in indoor spaces. However, social distancing is encouraged wherever operationally feasible. Individuals, at their own discretion, are encouraged to remain at least 6 feet apart when possible.

Individuals who have a fever or other symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 by a health care provider, or have recently been in close contact with someone who has the disease, may not be on campus or in UWM buildings. Students who meet the above criteria and live in UWM residence halls should contact University Housing to make arrangements for isolation or quarantine.
