Student extracurricular groups may be allowed to meet in campus buildings or outside on campus grounds in the fall but must abide by UWM policies for planning events during the pandemic, as well as CDC, local and university public health guidelines on social distancing and the use of face coverings. We urge you to read this FAQ post on guidelines for planning an event for more detailed information. Student groups with more questions about meeting in the fall can contact the Office of Student Involvement.
The UWM Student Union is open. Hours are weekdays, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and weekends, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Note that weekend hours may vary depending on special events. Areas of the building may be closed from time to time, though closures are not expected to impact use.
Contact Union Event Services as usual for all space requests. The best way to make reservations for large spaces or small meeting rooms is through the EMS Web APP. Student groups can also send an email to Event Services or contact Event Services through their website.
Please note that UWM staff will be making adjustments to the capacities of Union rooms and spaces typically used for events based on federal, state and campus recommendations. For more information about Union operations for the fall, please read this FAQ post.
