Habitat for Humanity Emergency Service Event
The Habitat for Humanity Wisconsin River Area (which includes the Sauk County Region) is in need of volunteers to assist after flooding devastated a low-income, senior living facility that is community-owned. We are seeking volunteers to assist as they hurry to get the facility back in good condition because now the senior citizens are displaced from their homes. All of the work is indoors, and no experience is necessary. Volunteers will be assisting with drywalling, hanging cabinets, and painting, all under the guidance of the Habitat for Humanity crew.
Volunteers can sign up for two-day (with the ability to sign up for multiple shifts if volunteers would like). Transportation, most meals, and lodging are provided.
UWM Center for Community-Based Learning, Leadership, and Research (CCBLLR) is thanks all the volunteers who have signed up. This event is now full so no new volunteers can sign up. Please visit the CCBLLR events page for other opportunities!
