SUMMARY:From 'You Good?' to Real Support: Mental Health\, Stigma\, and Connection
DESCRIPTION:All UWM community members are invited to join us for a meal and facilitated conversation about mental health awareness\, strategies to destigmatize mental health issues\, and ways to promote wellness. \nWhen: Tuesday\, April 28\, 5:00–7:00pm \nWhere: UWM Student Union\, room W119 \nRegister here for this dialogue — free meal included! \nSeeking to promote mental health awareness\, this facilitated discussion provides members of the UWM community an opportunity to engage in an open dialogue in hope of gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of mental health wellness in our community. The discussion will also include cultivating strategies to destigmatize mental health on campus and share how we promote our own mental health wellness. \nThis dialogue is facilitated by Patricia Iwok (student in Psychology) and Dr. Tim Kalmer\, Clinical Asst. Professor of Nursing. This event is part of At the Table\, a Spring 2026 Dialogue Program intended to promote civil dialogue at UWM and sponsored by the Division of Community Empowerment & Institutional Inclusivity.
