Organizational Communication Division:

Congratulations to graduate students Cody Coker (PhD), Benjamin Davis (PhD), Emily Godager (PhD), and Kari Pink (MA), whose NCA paper, “An Assessment of Team Communication After a Leader’s Organizational Exit,” received a Top Student Paper award in this division!

Philosophy of Communication Division:

Congratulations to MA graduate student Carrie Jones, whose NCA paper, “Facebook Groups, Governmentality, and the Shaping of the Surveilled Soul,” not only was accepted for presentation, but was awarded Top Student Paper in this division!

Human Communication and Technology Division:

Congratulations to PhD student Riley Richards whose paper, “The Role of Multiple Channel Verbal Affection in Dyadic Romantic Relationships” derived from his comprehensive exams, was awarded Top Student Paper for being the highest-ranked student paper in this division!

Congratulations to Cody Coker (PhD) and Jessica Kahlow (PhD) for their paper, “Extending SIT to Niche Networks: The Moderating Effect of Group Commitment on Sexual Identity Commitment among Men who have Sex with Men,” an extension of a project started in COMM 813 last spring, and also ranked as one of the Top 3 Student Papers in this division!
