Although the LAC region is often thought of as overwhelmingly Catholic, there is considerable religious and spiritual diversity due to the multitude of cultural communities present.\u00a0This Pew Research Center piece<\/a>\u00a0is a good place to start the discussion, including exploring the rise of Protestant faith communities in the region. Included below are resources to further explore LAC spiritual practices.<\/div>\n

From the University of Toronto, we have\u00a0“Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous Religions as subject in Caribbean”<\/a>\u00a0and Americas Quarterly has a photo essay focusing on\u00a0Afro-Latin Religion in the Americas<\/a>.\u00a0The Museum of Jewish Heritage has a\u00a0<\/span>piece on Jewish diaspora in LAC<\/a>, and the Jewish Virtual Library\u00a0<\/span>spotlights synagogues in the Caribbean<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Oxford Bibliographies has a\u00a0list of resources<\/a>\u00a0on Hinduism in the region and a\u00a0PBS video tells the story<\/a>\u00a0of a Minnesota based Hindu temple with Caribbean roots.\u00a0Muslims of Latin America and the Caribbean<\/b><\/a>\u00a0by Ken Chitwood can be found at most university libraries as can\u00a0Crescent Over Another Horizon : Islam in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latino USA<\/b><\/a>\u00a0edited by Maria del Mar Logro\u00f1o Narbona, Paulo G.
