There is an incredible amount of language diversity in Latin America and the Caribbean. <\/span>The University of New Mexico’s Latin American and Iberian Institute<\/span><\/a> hosts the K’iche’ Maya Oral History Project, which has a collection of 149 oral histories taken from K’iche’ Maya speakers in western Guatemala during the 60s and 70s. <\/span>Find that here<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Indigenous and Diasporic Language Consortium<\/span> (a <\/span>partnership of the <\/span>Institute for Latin American Studies at Columbia University<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>The Jaime Lucero Mexican Studies Institute at Lehman College<\/span><\/a>, and the <\/span>Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University<\/span><\/a>) has resources for the teaching, learning, and promotion of several Indigenous and diasporic languages, <\/span>found here<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
