The Sidewalk School exists to provide quality education to migrant children who would go without as they experience displacement at the U.S.-Mexico border.  Initially developed for the Matamoros Tent City, The Sidewalk School now operates in six Mexican cities.  The teachers, themselves migrants, create lesson plans, teach classes, and provide support to students who are in need.
