Navigating Rhetorics of Reproductive Justice with Promotores de Salud

In this talk, Rachel Bloom-Pojar will discuss her qualitative research on rhetorics of health and reproductive justice with promotores de salud (community health promoters) in Wisconsin. She will share some of her initial findings to highlight how the promotores de salud cultivate confianza (trust/confidence) when discussing reproductive and sexual health with their communities. This presentation will also examine how the promotores draw on their lived experiences with migration and digital networks to help others navigate barriers to access healthcare and social services.
