Use your Campus ID (991-xx-xxxx) from your official admission letter to <a href=\"https:\/\/account.uwm.edu\/public\/activate\">activate your ePantherID<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/strong>. MFA is a dual-authentication system required to keep your data secure. <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/information-technology\/digital-id\/mfa-student\/\">Set up MFA<\/a> and read the information under FAQ &gt; International Students. Bring the device with MFA with you to the U.S. to prevent problems logging in later.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access your UWM email<\/strong>. All important information from UWM will be sent to your UWM email address. Check it frequently. Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/\">UWM main website<\/a> &gt; Quicklinks &gt; Email. Log in with your ePantherID@uwm.edu and password, and open Outlook.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access your PAWS account. <\/strong>You&#8217;ll use your PAWS account to enroll in classes, update your personal information, and view and pay your tuition. Your J-1 visa stamp notifies immigration officials at your point of entry into the U.S. that you wish to enter the U.S. in the J-1 Student category. If granted permission to come into the U.S. for the purpose of being a student, your DS-2019 will be returned to you, and may or may not be stamped by immigration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I-94&nbsp;form:&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/i94.cbp.dhs.gov\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I-94 forms<\/a>&nbsp;are now&nbsp;almost exclusively&nbsp;completed online. We will provide you with instructions on how to print the form when you arrive. You should keep it with&nbsp;all of&nbsp;your immigration paperwork. If you enter the United States at a land or sea border, you will receive a paper I-94 form. &nbsp;Be sure to keep&nbsp;this&nbsp;with your documents.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-after-you-arrive-at-uwm\">After You Arrive at UWM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Complete<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cie\/services\/students\/arrival-check-in\/\">arrival check-in<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attend orientation.<\/strong> Please see your admission letter or admission emails for the date and location of Exchange Orientation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pick up your <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/retailservices\/panthercard\/\">PantherCard<\/a> (student ID card) and activate your <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/transportation\/transportation\/mcts\/upass\/wisgo-customer-sign-up\/\">bus pass<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/finances\/billing-and-payment\/\">Pay your tuition<\/a> by the first day of classes.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Understand important information about your <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cie\/services\/students\/health-insurance-medical-records\/\">health insurance and medical records<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cie\/services\/students\/finding-food-and-essentials\/\">Find food and other essentials near campus.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Purchase your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bkstr.com\/uwmilwaukeestore\/shop\/textbooks-and-course-materials\">textbooks<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get a U.S. cell phone plan.<\/strong> Visit a cellphone provider in-person&nbsp;to get service to your cell phone from home or purchase a new one.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cricketwireless.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cricket Wireless<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintmobile.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mint Mobile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.t-mobile.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">T-Mobile<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verizon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Verizon<\/a> don&#8217;t require a Social Security number. Or, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campussims.com\/universityofwisconsinmilwaukee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">set up an eSIM via Mint Mobile<\/a> prior to your arrival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional next steps:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cie\/services\/students\/money-and-banking\/\">U.S.
