The 411 on Virtual Study Abroad and International Experiences
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM CDT | Online via Microsoft Teams
Getting a global education doesn’t necessarily involve traveling the world (though, of course, that’s a very fun option too!). With online learning on the rise, it’s possible to connect with diverse communities, learn about international issues, and become part of a global classroom, all from the comfort of your own home.

If you’re interested in learning about the history and culture of a specific place, dive into international relations and politics, or become a more well-rounded global citizen, then virtual study abroad and/or an internship experience could be great options. Plus, tuition and program fees are generally a lot lower than on-site alternatives and you won’t have to worry about paying for airfare, foreign rent, or other costs associated with traditional study abroad. Virtual study environments will set you up for success in the global, online world that awaits you upon graduation. Join us to learn more about these amazing opportunities and hear from two UWM students who participated in international virtual experiences.
