Yomarie Castellano

Yomarie Castellano is a study abroad coordinator who advises students interested in studying abroad in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, China, Taiwan, Sweden, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Argentina and select faculty-led short-term programs. She's worked in the field of education abroad for the past 7 years. Prior to working in study abroad, Yomarie worked as an advisor for the UWM Education Talent Search Program, a pre-college program serving disadvantaged middle and high school students in the Milwaukee area. Yomarie earned her BA in Communication Studies from Marquette University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Lakeland College. As an undergrad, she studied in Madrid, Spain for a semester.

Yomarie is passionate about traveling and running and loves combining the two whenever possible. She has run four marathons and over 20 half marathons in 5 different states.  Her biggest accomplishment was running a marathon in her homeland of Puerto Rico! One of her hopes and dreams is to run a race in all 50 states.
