Kate Betka is a study abroad coordinator in the Center for International Education who works primarily with faculty-led programs. She advises students, works closely with faculty, and coordinates logistics for these programs. Prior to working in study abroad, Kate worked as a financial aid advisor in higher education and as an educator for museums and historic sites. As an undergrad at Michigan State University, she studied German and anthropology and spent an academic year studying abroad in Germany. She then earned her M.S. in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and participated in one of UWM’s faculty-led study abroad programs to Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad, hiking, backpacking, and trying out different restaurants and cuisines around Milwaukee.
