Arrival Check In

Undergraduate

Regular Admission

On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, please check in for Immigration Documentation Verification at the UWM Center for International Education office in Garland Hall room 138. Please bring your passport and your I-20. This is Required.

When you check in, you will need to do the following:

  • let us make copies of your documents for your student immigration file
  • sign up for an International Student Orientation (if you haven’t already)
  • learn about your health insurance
  • enter your emergency contact information and local U.S. address information into PAWS (if you haven’t already)
Conditional Admission

Within 3 days of your arrival in Milwaukee, check in for Immigration Documentation Verification at the UWM Intensive English Program (Curtin Hall 672). Please bring your passport and I-20. If you are a sponsored student, please bring your financial guarantee letter. This is Required.

Graduate

Dual Admission (Admission with English Deficiency)

In addition, check in for Immigration Documentation Verification at the UWM English as a Second Language Programs (Curtin Hall 672).

International Teaching Assistants may need to take the MITAA. If you are unsure whether you need to take the MITAA, please check with your academic department or the ESL Programs Office (esl@uwm.edu).
