Brazil’s future leaders discuss global entrepreneurship & innovation

Four UWM students recently enjoyed a rare networking opportunity with a Brazilian delegation comprised of government officials and business leaders from Rio de Janeiro.

The students are part of the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP), a government sponsored program between the United States and Brazil that currently funds 85 students at UWM who study in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, & health care. Since its inception in 2012, UWM has hosted over 250 BSMP students.

CIE’s Sarah Coban is the coordinator the visa, immigration, and internship assistance for the BSMP students. “We really enjoy having the Brazilian students as part of the UWM community and look forward to welcoming our newest cohort this summer” Coban adds.
