How do you define success?
Intercultural competence and an understanding of global issues are key success factors in today’s interconnected world. Majors and minors in Global Studies and International Studies, the Global Scholars Program, and a variety of area studies certificate programs prepare students for the challenges they will meet in their lives and in their careers. Career-oriented programming helps students understand the connections between their studies and career aspirations.
Language learning is essential
Language learning and intercultural competence are intertwined. With 20 world languages, UWM offers more language options than any other UW System campus aside from UW-Madison, including less commonly taught languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian.
