Why I like Chemistry

Chemistry describes everything: how life functions, why Mentos react with Diet Coke, why the sky is blue, and how an internal combustion engine works. Understanding Chemistry is how I can understand how things work in a literal sense.

Why I chose the Chemistry and Biochemistry Program at UW-Milwaukee

Milwaukee is a fantastic place to live (except maybe the never-ending winters!) and the people who work here at UWM are great. It’s a very close-knit group.

Favorite things to do in Milwaukee

Enjoying a 5% by volume solution of ethanol in any of its various forms. Milwaukee is known for that kind of thing (Go Brewers!). Relaxing at the beach is pretty awesome with friends. I also enjoy video games and movies, but that’s not exactly unique to Milwaukee.

Research Goals

Creating a unique system that revolutionizes and simplifies a previously complex problem.
