May 20 Town Hall to Focus on Fall ’21

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Please join me and others for a virtual town hall meeting from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20. As we continue to plan for a fully operational fall, we know you have questions.

We will discuss the most recent state, city and UW System COVID-19 updates as well as a report from our Emergency Operations Center team. The report is in process and will include detailed recommendations on testing, vaccinations, building preparedness, working on and off-campus, and more. Several campus leaders will share related updates and will be available to answer your questions.

How to Ask a Question
Questions can be shared in advance or asked online during the live town hall by sending to: uwm-townhall@uwm.edu. When submitting your question, please indicate whether you would prefer to remain anonymous. We have an excellent set of FAQs and I encourage you to check there first to see if your question has already been answered.

Accessing the Town Hall Meeting
Please join the town hall meeting here on May 20 at 9 a.m. The same link can be used for viewing the meeting at a later time if you are unable to watch it live. Here are the steps to view a Microsoft Teams event.

A captioning function is available. For live viewing with an interpreter, please make advance arrangements with Amy Hogle in our Accessibility Resource Center. Read this information from Microsoft to learn more about the captioning function.

As we turn the corner on the pandemic, please know that individual and community health remain a priority. I and my leadership team acknowledge that everyone’s capacity and comfort levels are unique and important. I hope you will join us on May 20.

Best regards,

Mark A. Mone, PhD
