August 4 Town Hall to Focus on Fall Reopening

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Please join me and others for a virtual town hall meeting from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4. As the fall semester approaches and we resume normal operations, we want to share updates and answer questions that you have.

We will discuss updates on:

  • Preparing for a fully operational fall including campus life, engagement, working on and off-site
  • COVID-19 trends in UWM counties as well as testing and vaccinations
  • Where we are with Fall ’21 enrollments, academics and research
  • Our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts

Several campus leaders will share related updates and will be available to answer your questions.

How to Ask a Question
Questions can be shared in advance or asked online during the live town hall by sending to: uwm-townhall@uwm.edu. When submitting your question, please indicate whether you would prefer to remain anonymous. We have an excellent set of FAQs and I encourage you to check there first to see if your question has already been answered.

Accessing the Town Hall Meeting
Please join the town hall meeting here on Aug. 4 at 10 a.m. Central Time.  The same link can be used for viewing the meeting at a later time if you are unable to watch it live. Here are the steps to view a Microsoft Teams event.

A captioning function is available. For live viewing with an interpreter, please make advance arrangements with Amy Hogle in our Accessibility Resource Center. Read this information from Microsoft to learn more about the captioning function.

Your health and well-being are among our highest priorities as we re-join campus life and welcome students this fall. I and my leadership team understand that each person’s capacity and comfort levels are unique and important. I hope you will join us on Aug. 4.

Best regards,

Mark A. Mone, PhD
