Instructors can earn the CETL Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle: Active Learning Certificate by completing the required worksheets and exercises that are identified as certificate requirements in the Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle: Active Learning Canvas course. Reviewers will evaluate your materials three times per year (March 1st, July 1st, and November 1st).

The course covers the following topics:

Module 2: Kolb’s Cycle Application and Practice
  • Kolb Cycle Lesson Plan Analysis and Rubric
  • Design Concrete Exercise and Rubric
  • Design Reflection Exercise and Rubric
  • Design Abstract Generalization Exercise
  • Design Active Experimentation Exercise
Module 3: Embedding Kolb’s Cycle: Course Outline
  • Design Course Outline with Kolb Cycle
  • Embedded and Rubric
Module 4 Lesson Plan Design
