Parisa Meymand
- Instructional Support Administrative Coordinator, Lubar School of Business
Dr. Parisa Meymand joins the Lubar College of Business as an Instructional Support Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, culturally responsive pedagogy, instructional technology, and professional learning for educators. With a passion for advancing student success, Dr. Meymand’s focus centers on fostering innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
Before joining UWM, Parisa served as the Chief Academic Officer of a K-12 system, overseeing curriculum alignment, instructional leadership, and accreditation efforts. Her extensive experience includes 16 years of teaching high school social studies, consulting for the College Board, and co-authoring and editing textbooks. She has also taught both online and in-person courses in higher education in both geography and education.
In addition to her role at the Lubar College of Business, Dr. Meymand is a lecturer in UWM's School of Education, where she has taught numerous graduate and undergraduate courses. A proud UWM alumna, she earned her doctorate in Urban Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. In all her courses, Dr. Meymand places a strong emphasis on student engagement and fostering a collaborative learning community, whether in the classroom or online.
Dr. Meymand also serves as the Director of Accreditation for the Lubar College of Business, leading efforts to ensure academic excellence and compliance with accrediting bodies. In her previous role as Chief Academic Officer, she coordinated system-wide accreditation efforts.
