On an annual basis the oldest course websites hosted in D2L are removed. The course information contained in those course websites, as well as courses student information will no longer be available. For 2016, courses from Fall 2011 to Summer 2012 will be removed. Ongoing, sandbox and administrative-focused courses are unaffected by this process.
For the overwhelming majority of instructors, the removal is a welcome process as it removes redundant information from D2L and shortens course listings. However, there are some rare circumstances where information might need to be kept. Course information can be copied to course websites for future terms, or sandbox courses. Student information can be exported from D2L.
In very rare circumstances, courses and student information must be retained in their original form. To get assistance with these circumstances, contact CETL’s Learning Technology Consultants by emailing email@example.com.
