Over the years UWM Today has hosted a wide array of scientists and researchers from UWM\u2019s School of Freshwater Sciences. It\u2019s the only school of its kind in the United States, and the work it is doing to better understand and preserve our freshwater resources is invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the breakthroughs that occur in research labs are only part of the solution to our water problems. If regulations and laws don\u2019t change to keep up with scientific discoveries, society is not any better off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this edition of UWM Today, host Tom Luljak interviews Melissa Scanlan, UWM\u2019s Center for Water Policy’s new director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
