Ex Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true, personal stories related to the night\u2019s theme, told without props or notes. Come to listen \u2013 or throw your name in the hat for a chance to share a true story related to the theme of Apologies. At the end of the night, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an Audience Favorite, who will be invited to share a story at ALL STARS in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The audience can also be a part of the storytelling by submitting UltraShorts! These are handwritten \u201cultra-short\u201d stories on the night\u2019s theme that will be read onstage by the emcee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 2009, Ex Fabula<\/a> has been connecting community through the art of true, personal storytelling. Ex Fabula, which is Latin for \u201cfrom stories\u201d, presents storytelling workshops, StorySlams and Community Collaborations where people listen to each other, feel heard, and grow in empathy and understanding.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
