Huntington Library Research Fellowships

The Huntington Library is currently accepting applications for a variety of research fellowships for scholars working in areas strongly represented in the library’s collections. The Huntington is a collections-based humanities research institute with items spanning the 11th to 21st centuries. Fellows are expected to carry out their research in-residence as well as contributing to the intellectual life and mission of the The Huntington.

Four types of fellowships are being offered:

  • Long-Term Fellowships of 9-12 months and carrying a stipend of $50,000
  • Short-Term Fellowships of 1-5 months and carrying monthly stipends of $3,500
  • Travel Grants for Study in the United Kingdom and Ireland for scholars to conduct research at libraries or archives overseas
  • Exchange Fellowships with Corpus Christi, Jesus, Linacre, Lincoln, and New Colleges, Oxford; Trinity Hall, Cambridge; and Trinity College Dublin; and the University of Durham
