While you\u2019re a Lubar student, you can expand your cultural perspectives, develop your knowledge of international business, and develop friendships around the globe through an international study experience. Study abroad opportunities are available to a wide range of destinations and for lengths of time ranging from a few weeks to a full academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business in Central Europe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Monday, January 4 to Friday, January 14, 2027
Deadline for applications is September 24, 2026. The first 15 students to apply and accepted will receive a $500 scholarship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study abroad course intends to provide business students with a comprehensive understanding of the global business landscape through real-world exposure and cultural immersion in east European countries of Hungary (Budapest), Slovakia (Bratislava), and Czech Republic (Prague).  By engaging with leading multinational and local companies, including Ekol Logistics<\/strong>, Cisco<\/strong>, and Ernst & Young<\/strong>, students will gain valuable insights into international business operations, logistics, and corporate strategy. Through lectures from local business professors and visits to key historical and cultural landmarks (St. Stephen Basilica, Budapest Parliament, Prague Castle), students will develop a deeper appreciation of the region\u2019s economic environment, entrepreneurial culture, and strategic business practices. There will be fun activities, such as Danube River cruise and visit a local vineyard. The program fee is $3500 and covers tuition, hotel, breakfast, all local transportation, health insurance, day trips, etc. Students are responsible for airfare and lunch\/dinner. There are other scholarships available, such as Wisconsin Study Abroad grant. This course can be taken by all business students, both graduate and undergraduate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course(s): <\/strong>3 undergraduate credits in Business Administration (498) or 3 graduate credits in Business Management (726) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
