About the Symposium: The Marketing and Finance functions play critical roles in returns on investments that firms make. Historically, the dialog between Marketing and Finance has been one of Marketing trying to convince Finance that the returns on the investments it is asking for will be attractive, and Finance probing and assessing Marketing’s projections. The advance of Big Data and Analytics has the potential to change this back-and-forth to a collaborative rather than a competitive exercise, and lead to significant increases in the returns on investment. The symposium will examine how this is being done by firms that are leaders in using Big Data and Analytics and provide takeaways for how businesses who also want to implement this can do so.
