Jeff Turmel
- Director, Business Engagement
As Director of Business Engagement at the Lubar College of Business, Jeff builds connections to companies for student and faculty projects in the Industry Connect initiative, Supply Chain Management Institute, and other outward-facing programs.
Over a career spanning 39 years, Jeff has worked in a variety of quality management, operations management, supply chain, and compliance positions at companies such as Eastman Kodak Company, Brady Corporation, Heraeus Electro-Nite. Most recently, he served as Vice President at Schoeneck Containers in New Berlin, WI.
A 1981 graduate of Clarkson University with dual bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering and humanities, Jeff earned an MS in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he also taught graduate statistics courses and served on RIT’s Adjunct Faculty for 10 years. He continues to study, teach, consult, and apply advanced concepts of Lean, Six Sigma, and supply chain management.
Jeff has taught in the Lubar College’s Executive MBA program since 2008, where his highly-rated courses in competitive operations strategies and business simulation focus on teaching and sharing methods for organizations to become more competitive and profitable.
