Lubar MBA students took top honors at the 2019 ACG Cup on April 18. As champions, the Lubar team collected the $3,000 first place prize in addition to a $1,000 prize as the UW-Milwaukee winning team. Team members included Philipp Doebele, Christian Kaiser, Hien Nguyen, and Simon Wagner.
ACG Wisconsin members Chris Mayer (Franklin Capital) and Shea O’Rorke (Quad Graphics) mentored the Lubar team, which advanced from the on-campus first round competition to compete in the finals. Teams from UW-Madison and Marquette University were also awarded $1,000 prizes as winners of their local competitions.
The Wisconsin ACG Cup is a highly realistic private equity/investment banking case study contest. Teams analyze and present their solutions and recommendations to a complex business case that requires a combination of corporate strategy, finance and valuation skills.
