DESCRIPTION:Wondering how to transition from student life to the business world?  How to best make the transition\, things that companies look for in new employees\, the necessary shift in expectations\, and behaviors?  Brian Thiet\, Senior Vice President\, Wisconsin Branch of Equitable Advisors will  discuss these topics as well as how to find something that drives and motivates you. Believing in what you are doing is critical and having that energy and passion is a must. \nThis event is free to all UWM students\, faculty\, and staff! \nSpeaker: Brian Thiet\, Senior Vice President\, Wisconsin Branch of Equitable Advisors.\nHis career started with the firm in June of 2007 as a Financial Professional after graduating from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. He currently holds his FINRA series 6\, 7\,63\,65\,24\, 53 registrations and WI Accident & Health\, Life and Variable licenses. In 2014\, Brian received his Chartered Life Underwriter ® (CLU ®) designation from The American College. Brian was promoted to Regional Vice President in January 2011\, and worked in that role for 11+ years\, earning many National MDA and MLA awards. Brian was also awarded the National Builders Trophy in 2015\, for his district finishing in the top 3% nationally. In 2022\, Brian was appointed as Senior Vice President of the Wisconsin Branch. His focus is to grow the organization through its existing financial professionals as well as helping to recruit\, train and develop new professionals that join the firm. In addition\, Brian also works personally with individuals\, families\, and small businesses to provide them with financial planning\, wealth management strategies\, risk management\, and estate planning services.
