Accounting Services is a sub-department of the Controller’s Office, and serves the University Community in maintaining an accounting, budget control and accounts payable system for UWM. The system records budgets, encumbrances, receipts and disbursements. We also prepare various reports for campus administration, UW-System Administration and State and Federal agencies.

Financial reports are provided in accordance with nationally accepted standards, Federal, State, and University requirements, as well as campus needs. Data access to accounting transaction information through paper reports and electronic files is also provided. We provide the campus with requisition pre-audit and processing services; non-salary, salary, and budget transfers services; personnel action processing, travel related services, and various reconciliation services.
