Woodley, Jasmine

School of Nursing, Junior

A graduate of Riverside High School, Woodley had been familiar with nearby UWM, so when it came time to pick a university the choice was obvious.
"It was close and I was familiar with it, and I'd heard that the nursing program was very good." "I've always wanted to be a nurse since I was in grade school."  Her eventual goal is to earn a graduate degree in nursing and work with a community based clinic. Ms. Woodley works as a tutor through the university's America Reads/Partnership for America program to help pay for her education. She currently works at Clarke Street School, Maryland Avenue Montessori School and St. Joan Antida High School. She particular like working the elementary student. "I like being with them and seeing how excited the children are when they get an assignment done and a problem solved."
