DESCRIPTION:DatesLocationThursday\, October 15\, 2026 (7–8:45 p.m.)Mitchell Hall\, Fine Arts Cinema Room B91\n\n\n\nProps and weapons can add tension\, realism\, and excitement to a film—but they also require serious preparation and safety protocols. This workshop\, facilitated by Peck School of the Arts own\, Liv Mauseth\, will introduce students to the fundamentals of prop weaponry\, responsible on-set practices\, and communication between directors\, actors\, and crew. Learn how to create the illusion of danger on screen while prioritizing safety behind the camera. This is NOT a hands-on demonstration. \n\n\n\nLiv Mauseth is a Milwaukee based stage and production manager with a decade’s worth of experience. They are certified in theatrical firearms through the Society of American Fight Directors and have extensive experience with prop weaponry. They have previously worked at Milwaukee Opera Theater\, First Stage\, Milwaukee Repertory Theater\, Milwaukee Chamber Theater\, Horlick High School\, the Bristol Renaissance Faire\, the Janesville Renaissance Faire\, Vanguard MKE\, The Constructivists\, Sunstone Studios\, and Bard and Bourbon. \n\n\n\nSpecial Features is an art and film focused professional development workshop series curated by Peck School of the Arts Department of Film\, Video\, Animation & New Genres. \n\n\n\n\nTickets are not required for this FREE event.

DESCRIPTION:Dates\nLocation\n\n\n\n\nThursday\, November 5\, 2026 (7–8:45 p.m.)\nMitchell Hall\, Fine Arts Cinema Room B91\n\n\n\n\nIntimate scenes require more than choreography—they require trust\, communication\, consent\, and thoughtful collaboration. This workshop introduces students to the principles of intimacy coordination and explores how directors and filmmakers can create a safe\, respectful environment when working with actors on intimate material. Students will learn practical approaches for communicating boundaries\, preparing scenes\, and supporting actors throughout the filmmaking process. \nOur guests\, KaiLee Evans\, Delaina Kuzelka and Victoria Hudziak\, are highly trained theatre professionals and intimacy coordinators with credits ranging between film and theatre. \nSpecial Features is an art and film focused professional development workshop series curated by Peck School of the Arts Department of Film\, Video\, Animation & New Genres. \n \n \n\nTickets are not required for this FREE event.
