UWM alum Kurt Sensenbrenner (BFA 2011, Film) opens a “turnkey” studio space in Madison, providing a place for creatives to grow their craft. After his experience filming a documentary on the turbulent banks of the Chicago River, he came up with the idea to create an indoor studio space for projects ranging from filmmaking to woodworking.
In the Isthmus article by Tommy Washbush, Sensenbrenner explains how the space works, its building process, and what it has to offer to the artistic community.
“What’s unique about this studio is that there are different looks throughout the building. The commercial kitchen, exposed brick, the blank canvas of the studio space, and the landscaped exteriors,” said Sensenbrenner. “It’s too much space for one person. I want to cultivate some events, some community.”
