This concert will recognize our graduating students and feature the UWM Concert Chorale. \nThe UWM Wind Ensemble is the premier concert band in the Peck School of the Arts and has been recognized nationally and internationally through numerous invitations to perform at major music conferences. Emphasizing the single performer concept\, the Wind Ensemble uses only players needed for a given piece\, thus providing the greatest exposure for the exceptional musician.  \n \nConcert Chorale is the flagship ensemble of the five-choir choral program at UW-Milwaukee. The choir comprises music majors and non-majors from across campus and performs music from a wide variety of styles\, cultures\, and time periods. Known for their eclectic concert programs\, Chorale embraces a flexible and repertoire-driven approach to tone and style. The group has appeared at various state and regional conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and National Association for Music Education. DESCRIPTION:Date & TimeThursday\, April 29\, 2027 (7:30–9 p.m.) \n\n\nLocationZelazo Center for the Performing Arts\, Room 250 and Virtual \n\n\nThis exciting night of music will feature music from Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago performed by UWM students and Milwaukee community members. The UWM Steel PANthers Steel Band and the University Community World Music Ensemble will join forces on a program highlighting traditional and arranged music played on Guatemalan marimba doble and Trinidadian steel pans. \nThe Community World Music Ensemble is open to all community members (ages 12 and older) and UWM students with an interest in learning the musical techniques and performance styles of folk and popular genres from different corners of the globe. Regular offerings include Trinidadian steel pan (Steel PANthers) and Guatemalan marimba (Marimba Pantera)\, with other offerings available on a rotating basis depending on instructor availability. \n \nIn-person Tickets\n\n\n\n\nGeneral\n$10\n\n\nSeniors 65+\, *UWM Faculty\, Staff & Alumni\n$8\n\n\nYouth 17 and Under\n$5\n\n\n*UWM Student\nFREE\n\n\n*PSOA Student (events ONLY in your department)\nFREE\n\n\n*If you have a UWM email account\, please log in when visiting the Box Office page in order to display all UWM affiliated ticket pricing.\n \n\n\nPurchase Tickets \nView Livestream \nView Program (PDF)
