The first offering in our fledgling New Dramaworks program. This annual event connects audiences with innovative new American playwrights and emerging student-artists here at the PSOA.The Day the Music Came Back is set in a dystopian world where music is banned. A group of teens secretly hold meetings to talk about music—even though they have never heard it before. Tensions rise when one of them brings a music playing device to the meeting. Should they risk their lives to listen to it? After the show stay and be part of an audience discussion and contribute toward the final version of this drama-in-progress.
Curtains rise at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, plus a 2 p.m. matinée on Sunday, Oct. 19.
