Summer Film Camp

June 26, 2017 - June 30, 2017


Join our Department of Film, Video, Animation & New Genres for a week-long Film Production day camp! This comprehensive experience will include workshops on Storytelling & Screenwriting, Cinematography & Lighting, as well as Post Production & Editing. The series of hands-on studio and lab activities, led by department instructors, will conclude with the production, and screening, of an original short film written, directed, & edited by our camp participants! Limited enrollment available to high school level students.

Storytelling & Screenwriting Workshops
Learn how to navigate an idea, structure a story and format a treatment and screenplay. Develop ideas that you will shoot, and edit, with fellow students during the week-long camp.

Cinematography & Lighting Workshops
Learn basic techniques of DSLR camera operation, exposure control and visual design. Practice professional lighting in our lighting studio and green screen studio, as well as on-location lighting set-ups. Light and shoot your ideas from your screenplay or treatment.

Editing & Postproduction Workshops
Use your footage to learn basic editing techniques with Adobe Premiere Pro in one of our editing labs. Edit your footage into a short project or reel that you can take with you!

Tuition: $500 Early Bird registration rate ($550 after May 26)
$4.00 convenience fee for payments made online or by phone
