Sensoria | Vox

February 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Sensoria | Vox features the world premiere of Black Snake Root, a new sonic collaboration between Amanda Schoofs and Kevin Schlei in the stunning Jan Serr Studio. Opening the concert is Tally Moss with a new electroacoustic solo titled heathered for voice and electronics.

Sensoria: Experiments in Sound and Performance, led by founder and Artistic Director Amanda Schoofs, presents transdisciplinary and experimental practices in new music and multimedia performance. This series intends to further dialogue, support new collaborations, and commission the creation of new works while promoting an expansive understanding of contemporary music.

Sensoria celebrates its fifth season with innovative concerts featuring the Legacy of the ElectroAcoustic Music Center (EAMC) at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s, Peck School of the Arts. The EAMC, founded by Jon Welstead in 1982, facilitates the creation of new electroacoustic works and technologies. In celebration of the EAMC’s dynamic history, and its founder’s retirement, this season of Sensoria will showcase cutting-edge works produced by musicians intimately affiliated with the center.
