Overview

Remember what it was like when you first picked up your instrument or sang in front of an audience? That moment was the beginning of your life as a musician. And now that your skills are strengthening in high school, it’s time to think about college as your next step to lifelong success in the music industry. See for yourself what it is like to be a music major at UW-Milwaukee.

Prelude: Day in the Life of a Music Major is a FREE event for high school musicians featuring faculty performances, breakout sessions by primary instrument/voice, large ensemble rehearsals, an interactive music theory class, and more from the Peck School of the Arts Department of Music.

Free registration

Registration is free and open to any high school musician who is considering enrolling in a college-music program. Please register online to reserve your spot ASAP. Online registrations will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Friday, February 10, or until all spots are filled.
