MFA Thesis Concert: Through the Waves, Through the Water by Dijon Kirkland
The African Diaspora has made its influence throughout the world. Enslaved Africans made the journey from the continent of Africa to several different regions on the globe. The concert will tell the story of community, hurt, loss, mending, and togetherness, while exploring belonging. This evening will include African dance from the country of Ghana, live percussion, video footage, and spoken word.
