Experimental Tuesdays at the Union Cinema presents…
From the Archives:
Forward, Sideways, Upward, Backward, Downward, Diagonal
Tonight’s program features a collection of films centered on the desires to build, create, establish, name, delineate, and progress, desires both generative and destructive. Drawing from early cinema through more recent work, the roster of films shared will enable us to glean something about these forces.
Curated by Max Wildenhaus, MFA Candidate in the UWM Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres. 16mm prints courtesy of the Department’s Cinema Arts Archive.

The From The Archives series invites Graduate Students from the UWM Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres to collaborate with the Department’s Archive to curate an evening for Experimental Tuesdays.
Much thanks to the Department’s Archive Director Kati Katchever for her help in unvaulting the prints and readying them for screening.
Experimental Tuesdays at the Union Cinema is a free series unspooling on most Tuesdays throughout the semester that shares contemporary and canonical experimental media. Presented by the UWM Union Cinema and the UWM Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres.
