Artists Now! Guest Lecture Series: Sarah Holden
Sarah Holden received her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a focus in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Sarah’s recent exhibitions include solo exhibitions “Material Woman: Contemporary Reflections of a Female Icon,” at the Robert F DiCaprio Gallery in Chicago, IL, “Cultured Power,” at the Kurated PGH Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA and her upcoming solo exhibition “Patterns in Power: Feminine lines and their Rebellious Representation,” at the Ombre Gallery in Cincinnati, OH. Sarah was recently honored with a Professional Education Endowment from the Society of North American Goldsmiths and her work is included in the permanent collection at the Racine Art Museum. Sarah currently lives in Chicago where she works as a practicing studio artist, teaches steel fabrication and metal forming at The Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center and is a mom to two girls.

All 2022-23 lectures will be FREE and offered virtually as pre-recorded events. Series supported in part by the UWM Black and Gold Committee & Differential Tuition funds, Frederick R. Layton Fund, the John Colt Memorial Art Fund, The Queer Curatorial Fund, Center for 21st Century Studies, Print Club, Focus, and OBJECT.
