Artists Now! Guest Lecture Series: Neil Horsky
November 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Co-sponsored by the Digital Arts and Culture Program as well as the Digital Humanities Lab, Neil Horsky is a community artist, educator, musician, and amateur people’s art historian working to cultivate creativity and solidarity among the young and young at heart. He creates clever and biting studio art and public art to protest injustice and to envision a more just world. He develops educational workshops and courses that empower communities by promoting critical thinking, collaboration and dialogue through the arts. He researches and writes about the work of creative activists, past and present, to remind us all of the power artists can wield in the ongoing struggle for social change. This talk is co-sponsored by the UWM Digital Humanities Lab.
